It’s too bad that the NFL regular season is already over… because it seems like some fans were just getting started this past weekend. The Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers faced off yesterday in what was their final regular season game of the year. For the Raiders, they’ll sit on the couch and watch the NFL postseason from a distance, finishing with a 4-13 record. For the Chargers, they put an exclamation point on Jim Harbaugh’s first year back in the NFL, winning the game by two touchdowns and boasting an 11-6 record – good enough for a spot in Wild Card Weekend. While there wasn’t much fight shown out on the field, there was plenty of fight to go around in the concourse of Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. I’d guess that after a really rough season that didn’t provide a lot of happiness or hope for Raiders fans, some of them needed to get the pent-up rage out of their system. Then again, anytime the Raiders are playing, especially against the Rams or Chargers, there’s a fight in the crowd. It’s ridiculous… Nick Walters, a senior sports reporter for KTNV 13 in Las Vegas, was trying to interact with some fans at the stadium when some others attending the game started interacting with each other. And by interacting… I mean an all-out-brawl. Walters, being the senior reporter that he is, completely dove out of the way (figuratively and literally) and allowed for the story to tell itself. Sure, he could have given some play-by-play if he wanted to, but the video turned out that much better because he let the action – and the noise that came along with it – take the forefront. Take a look at this masterclass in journalism and reporting: https://twitter.com/nickwalt/status/1876119197098639681 Was that a couple-on-couple scuffle? It’s tough to tell with all of the bodies flying around, but it sure did look like that one female Raiders fan (with the boots that complete the outfit) entered the fight like it was a tag-team match and helped out her potential partner – even though it looked the Raiders had the fight taken care of. Honestly, it kind of looked like the Chargers fan got bumped in the crowd and just started swinging. Hard to know for sure if words were exchanged, but sure you can see him scoot forward after he gets bumped into from behind, he turns around and starts swinging at people… and then promptly get laid out. Whoever the coach for Las Vegas is next year needs to give that guy a call. He’s got some fight in him, unlike the rest of the Raiders organization. Some social media users/Raiders fans took pride in the guy giving the Chargers fan a beat down, while others condemned the brawl that just so happened to get caught on a TV camera:
