Fox News anchor Brian Kilmeade made a mistake on Fox & Friends while interviewing Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) when he pointed out a tweet from former Rep. Bob Good (R-VA) about the upcoming speaker vote.
Kilmeade said Good would not be supporting Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), and was quickly corrected by Jordan, who noted that Good is no longer in office and was instead replaced by incoming Rep. John McGuire (R-VA).
Currently, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) is the only Republican House lawmaker vowing to vote against Johnson as speaker.
KILMEADE: Well, I got bad news. Congressman Bob Good just tweeted out he will not be voting for Mike Johnson.
JORDAN: Well, remember, Brian, Bob Good has left. Maybe there is some other name.
KILMEADE: Can we check that?
JORDAN: Bob Good lost that close primary back in that Virginia seat. John McGuire is the new member there, John. John will be voting for for Mike Johnson for speaker. So I think it’s still just Thomas Massie indicated he won’t support the speaker, but I’m hopeful that everyone else will.
KILMEADE: All right. Good point. He’s not there anymore so I shouldn’t’ve brought that up. My bad.
