A new coaster at Cedar Point is one step closer to being finished with the addition of this “terrifying” element.
On Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025, crews lifted the ride’s tilt track to the highest point of the roller coaster.
The 45-ton, 61-foot-long tilt track is the “signature terrifying element,” of the new coaster, according to the amusement park.
It teeters the coaster’s train into a 90-degree vertical position before it locks into place and releases riders to 2,966 feet of track below.
“Bringing the lore and legend of the mythical Lake Erie siren to life, Siren’s Curse lures its riders with on-board audio and dynamic LED lighting, immersing them into an adrenaline-pumping multi-sensory ride experience,” according to Cedar Point.
Siren’s Curse will be the tallest, fastest and longest tilt coaster in North America once it’s complete.
It’s expected to open in early summer.
