Singer Chappell Roan recently revealed that her Statue of Liberty costume, which she wore to perform at the Governor’s Ball 2024, had a serious impact on her nether regions
Chappell Roan’s intimate area was affected by her iconic green spray paint costume.
For the Governors Ball 2024, the Pink Pony Club singer covered herself in bright green paint from head to toe. She paired her look with a matching green wig, a green leather bandeau top and a green tassle skirt, topped off with a spiky crown meant to look like the Statue of Liberty.
The look was one of Chappell’s most memorable to date, but the singer may remember the look for all the wrong reasons.
While chatting to Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Chappell sat down with the host and revealed all the gory details about the body paint fiasco.
According to the singer, the paint wouldn’t scrub off no matter how hard she tried: “Like, it didn’t come off.”
“The way I got that off was I took three baths, not soap, dish soap. I literally poured dish soap in and scrubbed rubbed my whole body with coconut oil, jumped in, scrubbed with a literal, like, kitchen sponge.”
Even when she managed to get the paint off, she still had a slight tinge of green to her: “I literally looked moldy for four days.”
Even her intimate area was affected, admitting her downstairs hair was “pulling out from it all. I’m not even, like, lasered or anything.”
Chappell informed Cooper that during the painting process, she had to adopt a rather exposing position so that she could cover everything…literally: “I just spread my cheeks and get sprayed with green!”
Elsewhere in the interview, Chappell revealed that she has been in a “serious” relationship and is “very in love”.
She informed Alex that the pair have been together for “six months” and added: “But I am pro-single. Everyone should be single.”
“Stop dating, be single. Have a great time alone.”
“Find out for yourself if you can 100% be okay alone. That’s what I found out. I had a great time when I was single.”
Roan revealed that she and her partner were introduced by a mutual friend, but the situation was not “set up” for them.
She explained: “I’m usually the one to make the first move. In every circumstance, I make the first move.”
“I haven’t dated someone since this all like really blew up. I’m dating the same person that I was dating before I got, like, ‘it’ blew up. I’m not sure how I would date now. I think it would actually be a nightmare.”
