The broadcast of a Chicago Cubs and Pittsburgh Pirates game on Thursday fell temporarily silent after a Cubs veteran was seen celebrating in the dugout with fake testicles.
During the Marquee Sports Network broadcast of the game — which ended with the Cubs‘ 3-2 victory — the camera cut to the Cubs dugout so commentator Boog Sciambi could crown a celebrating Justin Turner the “Fan of the Game.”
But apparently unbeknownst to the cameraman, Turner could be seen dancing with a fake pair of testicles dangling between his legs.
“Our fan of the game, brought to you by Mike’s Hard Lemonade, for the love of lemonade, and it’s you, Justin Turner, you are our fan of the game! Wooo!” Sciambi declared as Turner jumped up and down. The testicles were clearly fake as they could be seen hanging over Turner’s pants.
The incident occurred at the top of the ninth inning and Sciambi and fellow commentator Jim Deshaies fell completely silent for about 30 seconds going into the next play.
Turner’s dance was in celebration of a home run by Seiya Suzuki in the sixth inning of the game. Suzuki could be seen in the dugout looking down at Turner and doing his own dance before Turner raised his arms and revealed the fake testicles and his own moves.
