In this case, the Indianapolis Colts are looking into signing Philip Rivers, who has been out of the league so long he’s on the Hall of Fame ballot. And this has prompted the question: What about Colin Kaepernick?
Rumors have even begun that Kaepernick is throwing his hat into the ring for the Colts job.

That information seems to be unsubstantiated, although it’s an account that usually aggregates legitimate news. None of the major NFL reporters have shared any new info about Kaepernick of late.

Kaepernick turned 38 in November.
The last official NFL workout for Kaepernick was in 2022 for the Raiders. He also worked out for the Seahawks in 2020.
The Chargers offered Kaepernick a coaching job in 2024 under his former head coach, Jim Harbaugh, but he didn’t take it.
