Dallas’ 2025 date against the Chiefs is one of many tough matchups on the docket for the Cowboys.
The Cowboys will face 10 teams who made the 2024 playoffs and will see each of the top seven scoring defenses from the 2024 season, including their Week 13 matchup against the Chiefs.
Kansas City, on the other hand, will also face 10 teams who made last year’s playoffs this upcoming season, including all three of their postseason opponents (Texans, Bills, Eagles) in 2024’s Super Bowl run. It was announced on Tuesday that the Chiefs will host the Broncos on Christmas Day in Week 17.
It will be the first time since 2006 that the Chiefs will play on Thanksgiving Day, which was the debut year of a continued NFL tradition of scheduling three games on the holiday. The franchise holds a 5-5 record all-time on Thanksgiving Day.
The Cowboys, who’ve hosted a Thanksgiving Day game perennially since 1966, hold a 34-22-1 all-time record on the holiday.
The NFL will unveil the entire 2025 schedule at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday on NFL Network, NFL.com, the NFL app and NFL+.
