Ex-Patriot is selling his Super Bowl ring for more than $100,000

Former Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount is putting some of his hardware up for sale, with the two-time Super Bowl champ in New England officially auctioning off his ring from New England’s Super Bowl XLIX victory over the Seahawks from the 2014 season. 

Blount’s ring is currently up for sale on Heritage Auction — with the price tabbed at $122,000. 

The ring was initially put up for sale as part of an extended offering from Heritage that featured 17 world championship rings across multiple sports being sold, as noted by MassLive’s Nick O’Malley. 

While Blount’s ring remains on the market, a pair of former Patriots did sell off their Super Bowl rings as part of Heritage’s event.

Former New England linebacker Tully Banta-Cain sold his ring from Super Bowl XXXIX for $64,050, while ex-Patriots cornerback J.C. Jackson netted $88,450 for his ring after New England’s victory over the Rams in Super Bowl LIII. 

Earlier this month, former Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett also landed a solid pay day years after New England’s comeback victory over the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI — selling his championship ring from that game for $88,125, according to Hunt Auctions. 

Bennett — who reeled in five catches for 62 yards in that win over the Falcons — took to Instagram with a highlight-reel video after the sale of his ring went through. 

“Here’s a few highlights from the Super Bowl I won with the homies,” Bennett said. “Ended the night with 5 catches for 62 yards in the greatest Super Bowl comeback of all time in my hometown, Houston with a broken ankle and torn shoulder. From the SWAT and back with love.”

While Tom Brady has not auctioned off of any his Super Bowl rings, he did sell of several pieces of memorabilia in December for over $9 million — including $50,400 for his “DunKings” tracksuit.
