Jessica Williams was in the hot seat at the 2025 SAG Awards — right next to Harrison Ford, who playfully distracted her during her opening “I’m an actor” monologue at Sunday’s ceremony.
The Shrinking duo was seated next to each other at the Netflix event, with the Indiana Jones performer interrupting his colleague’s introductory speech by shoving a piece of food into his mouth from over her shoulder.
“Los Angeles is known as the city of dreams, and, sure enough, all of my dreams have come true here. From my dream of preparing…” Williams said, breaking to laugh as Ford chewed behind her and the audience laughed.
“I told him to turn away!” Williams said. “Don’t look!”
Ford then turned all the way around, with his back facing the camera for the rest of Williams’ speech. When she finished, Williams turned toward her fellow actor and jabbed him as they chuckled.
Shrinking has thus far aired two seasons on Apple TV+, with Ford earning a SAG Awards nomination for his leading performance in the comedy series, while Williams attended Sunday’s ceremony as a nominee among the show’s ensemble cast.

Elsewhere in her speech, Williams recalled “preparing in a Starbucks bathroom before an audition” and “crying in a Del Taco bathroom afterward.” Other SAG Awards introductory speakers included Jodie Foster, Bowen Yang, and Mikey Madison.
Hosted by Kristen Bell, the ceremony also kicked off with a scripted segment that reunited the Hacks cast, including Jean Smart as her character, Deborah Vance, who missed out on hosting the gig after she failed to pay her SAG dues.
