HITEC has today made public the 2026 HITEC 100, a distinguished recognition honouring 100 technology leaders from across a broad spectrum of backgrounds whose leadership abilities and innovative approaches are contributing to the future shape of the global technology ecosystem. The list acknowledges executives whose impact extends well beyond their own organisations, with an emphasis on creating opportunity by recognising underleveraged and visionary talent.
In the same announcement, HITEC has confirmed a strategic evolution of its awards programme, reflecting the organisation’s continued determination to foster growth, uphold high standards, and deliver tangible and measurable impact. The HITEC 100 award will remain true to the organisation’s Architects of Growth ethos, continuing to celebrate extraordinary industry leaders whose influence and reach go beyond their individual organisations. Honourees are those who are setting the agenda for their industries, advancing innovation at scale, and cultivating broader opportunity through leadership that champions inclusion and diversity.
The 2026 HITEC 100 class includes some of the most widely respected technology leaders from Fortune 100 and globally recognised enterprises, holding a range of senior roles including CEO, CIO, CTO, and other leading technology executive positions across a multitude of disciplines. This year’s cohort illustrates the impressive depth and diversity of the global technology ecosystem, with participants representing a wide range of industries, regions across the globe, and different types of organisation.
“I am so proud of the 2026 HITEC 100 honorees—they are at the top of their game and demonstrating what it means to be an Architect of Growth in a global, technology-driven world,” said Miriam Hernandez-Kakol, Chair of the HITEC Board of Directors. “They create collaborative networks rooted in shared values and a culture of excellence. Their leadership shows what it takes to create enduring value across a broader ecosystem.”
“The evolution of the HITEC Awards is informed by extensive engagement with members and stakeholders and reinforces HITEC’s commitment to remaining relevant, inclusive, and impactful,” said HITEC President Omar Duque. “The HITEC 100 represents leadership that goes beyond title or tenure—leadership that influences beyond organizational boundaries and exemplifies innovation, responsibility, and measurable impact,” said Jesus Mantas, Vice-Chair of the HITEC Board of Directors. “By evolving the awards, we are recognizing exceptional leaders from all backgrounds who are advancing technology while intentionally strengthening pathways to growth for the next generation.”
Honourees are selected through a thorough and carefully considered process designed to ensure the list reflects the most genuinely impactful technology leaders operating within the global ecosystem. The criteria applied during selection take into account the individual’s leadership impact, the scope and scale of their influence, the nature and significance of their contributions to innovation and technology, and a demonstrated commitment to creating meaningful growth opportunities for the next generation of leaders.
