Tracy Morgan is on the mend after what he claims was a bout of food poisoning following this year’s St. Patrick’s Day NBA game night. While some fans are relieved to hear he’s recovering, others remain worried that his severe vomiting he experienced during the game could be more serious.

On March 17, Saturday Night Live alum was courtside at New York’s Madison Square Garden, watching the New York Knicks take on the Miami Heat when the unexpected happened — within just 40 minutes of the game’s start, the comedian suddenly began vomiting. The situation was alarming enough that Morgan had to be escorted out in a wheelchair.
Where Tracy Morgan Calls Home
While in bed at an undisclosed hospital, the actor posted on Instagram that he is doing fine a day after the incident.
“Thank you for all your concern! I’m doing ok now and doctors say it was food poisoning. Appreciate my MSG family for taking such good care of me and I need to shout out the crew that had to clean that up. Appreciate you!” Morgan said.
Morgan has had past health scares.
In 2014, a Walmart truck driver who had been awake for 24 hours crashed into Morgan’s limo van, leaving the comedian with a traumatic brain injury, killing his friend and mentor, James McNair, and putting Morgan in a coma for two weeks.
Just a few years earlier, in 2010, Morgan underwent kidney transplant surgery after facing complications from diabetes and alcoholism, Rolling Stone reported.
So where does Morgan, who has four children and an estimated net worth of $70 million, recuperate when he’s on the mend?
Since 2015 he has lived in a 22,000 square feet New Jersey mansion in the Alpine region. The mansion, which he purchased for $13.9 million, has 22 rooms and features amenities like a basketball court, theater room, bowling alley, and giant fish tanks, according to NJ Advance.
It is reported by Realtor.com that he might also own a Manhattan penthouse, which might explain how he is so accessible to MSG games and his frequent sightings Uptown and in Times Square.
Morgan formerly owned a house in Cresskill, New Jersey, according to NJ Advance. He put up the 4,485-square-foot home for sale in 2018. He’d had the house since 2011, when he bought it for $2.2 million, and in 2019 it was sold for $1.2 million, approximately a $1 million loss after eight or so years. The six-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom residence featured a marble entryway, cathedral ceilings, a gourmet kitchen, a sauna, and a gunite pool, according to The New York Observer.
