New Year’s Eve, Lebanon residents huddled together on South Eighth Street to watch a giant Lebanon Bologna be lowered to the ground at the strike of midnight.
Leading up to the drop, attendees gathered to dance to DJ Jim Payne’s selections.
Cool Beans Brew Coffee Truck offered hot refreshments like iced and hot coffee and hot chocolate.
Space heaters were placed strategically through the street, which was cordoned off at the intersections at Chestnut and Cumberland.
Lebanon Mayor Sherry Capello led the countdown as the Seltzer’s Smokehouse Meats bologna was lowered.
After the drop, the meat was donated to Lebanon Rescue Mission to ensure it does not go to waste.
