EDMONTON, Alberta (WKRC) – McDonald’s changed the name of two of its restaurants to McDavid’s.
The pair of McDonald’s restaurants in Canada were rebranded to McDavid’s in honor of Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid after the fast-food chain sent a tweet back in June 2024 telling McDavid that if he brought the 4 Nations title to Canada, they would rename a restaurant in his honor, according to OutKick and NHL.
McDonald’s posted photos of the locations on its @McDonaldsCanada X profile. The two restaurants are in Newmarket, Ontario, and Edmonton, Alberta.
McDavid scored an overtime goal to give Canada a 3-2 victory over the United States in the 4 Nations Face-off title match.
