Holocaust denier and white nationalist Stew Peters openly loathes vaccines, Jews, LGBTQ people, Taylor Swift, and non-white immigrants. Now, Peters has a new enemy: pop star Olivia Rodrigo. Following Rodrigo’s performance at the Grammys, Peters accused her of performing a “satanic blood ritual” and compared her to the Whore of Babylon.
“In case you missed it, and thank God that you did, Olivia Rodrigo performed a satanic blood ritual at the Grammy Awards, at just the latest one of these nationally-televised award shows, or sporting events, or bread and circus acts that devolve into public devil worship,” Peters said in his monologue.
As he said this, a graphic of the singer dripping with fake blood appeared with the caption “Satanic Blood Ritual.”
“While she was on stage, she had blood pouring out of her, blood pouring out of the walls. She eventually smeared it all over herself, and she sang her song called ‘Vampire’ which was nominated for multiple awards and glorifies organ harvesting,” he said.
Peters then read some of the (censored) lyrics to the song — including “The way you sold me for parts/As you sunk your teeth into me, oh/Blood sucker, fame fucker/Bleedin’ me dry like a goddamn vampire.” Peters had apparently decided to to take these lyrics literally in order to make his point, even though it’s clearly a simile.
Peters claimed that “satanism” or “Molochism” is being “forced into our homes” by someone who “looks like a cute little Latina girl.”
He also threw in some antisemitism for good measure, describing her Grammys performance as “dancing around on live TV, in a red dress, covered in blood like the Whore of Babylon, bringing your children into this satanic world of this disgusting, Jewish-run entertainment hellscape that we call Hollywood.”
As of this writing there is no word on whether U2, Billie Eilish, or Tracy Chapman are similarly involved in this imaginary satanic conspiracy.
