INDIANAPOLIS — Patriots players don’t feel like they’re flying in style.
In the 2025 NFLPA report card, New England’s players slammed the team in the travel category, grading them an “F.” Only 39% of players believe they have enough room on the team plane — which is owned by Robert Kraft — and detailed how outdated they feel the aircraft is in their report.
“Players want an upgraded team plane,” the NFLPA writes. “The current plane is too small, there is no Wi-Fi available, and there are seats with ashtrays in the armrests. Players specifically responded that ‘our plane is the worst thing – size, space, safety’ and ‘it is not conducive to preparedness for athletic performance.’”
Though the “team travel” category was the most glaring, the Patriots didn’t fare well across the survey once again. New England ranked 31st overall, and Kraft was given a D, which put him 29th among the league’s 32 ownership groups.
Recently, the Patriots began a player-centric renovation at Gillette Stadium, but the new facility — that includes upgraded locker and weight rooms — is not expected to open until 2026.
