The Las Vegas Raiders have given star defensive end Maxx Crosby a new contract extension.
ESPN reported that the Raiders are making Crosby the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history as he is signing a three-year, $106.5 million extension with $91.5 million in guaranteed money. This deal keeps him under contract through the 2029 season when he will be 32.
Maxx Crosby’s extension is the first of what should be a busy offseason for a group of pass-rushers in line for new deals. Those pass rushers include:
Trey Hendrickson
Myles Garrett
TJ Watt
Micah Parsons
Aidan Hutchinson https://t.co/vG6K7sw0vO— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) March 5, 2025
This is a massive commitment by the new Raiders’ regime led by head coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Spytek.
Crosby, who turns 28 in August, voiced his desire for new guaranteed money and indicated this was a big offseason. He voiced that he wanted to stay with the team, but also noted he wanted to win.
This move shows Crosby that the new regime is committed to winning.
Crosby has been one of the best defensive players in the NFL. Crosby missed his first five games of his career in 2024 and finished he season on injured reserve with an ankle injury. He is expected to be fully ready soon.
Crosby has 59.5 sacks in six NFL seasons and now he will remain with the Raiders for the foreseeable future as they begin the Carroll era.
