Stephen Curry just played us all.
Days after going viral for appearing to swish a beyond-full-court shot from the opposite tunnel inside the Warriors’ home Chase Center, a new angle of Curry’s otherworldly talents revealed his ball connected with the net but did not go through the hoop.
The new footage displayed a side-angle of the basket the Warriors superstar was aiming for, but illustrated a clear miss from the four-time NBA champion.
Though Curry’s heave was perfectly on target, it was just short, as it whistled through the bottom of the net.
Not that it stopped Curry, 37, and onlookers from celebrating as they believed the ball went through the basket upon seeing the net’s swish.
The Warriors have had much to celebrate as of late.
Currently sixth in the Western Conference, Golden State is three games back from the No. 3 seed Nuggets.
Golden State has been on a tear since acquiring Jimmy Butler at the trade deadline.
Before the February deal, the Warriors were a measly 25-26 and battling to stay afloat in the play-in tournament race.
Golden State has won 16 of 19 games Butler, 35, has been part of.
He spent the past five and a half seasons with the Heat, reaching the NBA Finals in 2021 and 2023.
With 11 games left this season, Curry likely has more tricks up his sleeve, especially as the postseason approaches.
The Warriors (41-30) visit Butler’s former Heat team (30-41) on Tuesday night.
