The Taco Bell Cantina located in Pacifica is often dubbed the “nicest” or “most beautiful” fast food spot due to its beachside location, but now the space could stand to become even nicer. As of Sunday, January 5, that Taco Bell location is temporarily closed for two weeks due to a remodel, KRON reports. Company executive James Aman announced the news in a Facebook post, sharing a photo of a huge “Closed for remodel” sign over the doors to the restaurant. It’s not entirely clear when, exactly, the restaurant will reopen or what work is being done, but let’s hope the walk-up window remains untouched.
An extremely fancy doughnut shop opens in San Francisco
Doughnuts are perfect in all shapes and forms, whether from a grocery store or a corner store, but an upcoming San Francisco shop looks like it was lifted out of Europe and plopped down in West Portal. George’s Donuts and Merriment is set to open at 163 West Portal Avenue on Friday, January 10, led by pastry chef Janina O’Leary. Expect doughnuts of all kinds, including brioche, crullers, cake, and filled doughnuts — including a doughnut hole flight — plus sandwiches and salads to round out the menu.
Trick Dog releases its 22nd drink menu
The cocktail geniuses over at the award-winning Trick Dog are back with their twice-yearly menu change, and like the menus before it, it looks to be a good one. Starting Tuesday, January 7, step right up to the “Cirque Du Trick Dog” menu, featuring the usual balanced cocktails and low- or no-ABV drinks named after circus acts like the Lion Tamer, or the Contortionist. And while you’re at it, tell the team happy birthday — the bar turns 12 this month.
