1. Ancient Capital  Of Bhati Rajputs

Before Rawal Jaisal founded the Jaisalmer state, Lodrawa was the ancient capital of the Bhati Rajputs.

2. Famous Jain Temples 

There are several Jain temples in the village that date back to the 9th century.

3. Temple Dedicated To  23rd Tirthankara

One of the most famous Jain temples here is dedicated to the 23rd Tirthankara, Parshvanatha. The original temple was destroyed in 1178 AD by Muhammad Ghori. It was later reconstructed by Seth Tharu Shah in 1615.

4. Maru-Gurjara Style Structures 

Many structures in the village were originally constructed in the pre-12th century in the Maru-Gurjara style. They were reconstructed in the 17th century and again in the 1970s.

5. Renowned For Its  Stunning Architecture 

The beautiful archway of the temples here gives an insight into the beautiful architectural style of this era. Some of the pavilions here were carved from a single piece of stone.

6. Cursed Land 

According to local folklore, Lodhruva  was once a land of abundant water sources. However, due to a curse attributed to the tragic love story of Princess Mumal and Prince Mahendra, all wells in the area dried up.
