Mangalorean Buns At Home

Chef Saransh Goila shared the recipe for Mangalorean Buns AKA banana puris and you should try this recipe right away! 

Ingredients

2 overripe bananas 1.5 tbsp castor sugar Salt Jeera 1/4 cup yoghurt 1/2 tsp baking powder 2 cups Maida Ghee

Mangalorean Buns Recipe

1. Take 2 overripe bananas in a big bowl and add 1.5 tbsp castor sugar, 1 tsp jeera, and a pinch of salt to it. 2. Mash it all together. 

Follow These Steps

3. Then, add 1/4 cup of yoghurt and 1/2 tsp baking powder to it. 4. Mix it well. 

Form The Dough 

5. Now, add 2 cups of maida to the bowl. 6. Knead everything well till you get a shaggy dough.

Let It Rest

7. Add about 1/2 tbsp of ghee to the dough and knead well to form a dough. 8. Let it rest for 5-6 hours

Time To Fry 

9. Roll it into thick puris and fry in medium hot oil till medium brown. 

Serve Hot & Enjoy!
