So, to help you save a few bucks, content creator Bhavya Manchanda (@poseandplaces), shared a simple and easy homemade chilli oil recipe that you can use over noodles, rice, and dumplings.
1 cup room temperature vegetable oil 1 small onion 1 cinnamon stick 8-10 black peppercorns 1 tsp coriander seeds 2 cardamom pods 2-3 small green cardamom pods Handful coriander stems 2 tbsp chilli powder 1 tbsp Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tsp salt ½ tsp MSG (optional) 1 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp vinegar 1 tsp light soy sauce (optional) 6-7 chopped garlic cloves

1. Heat some oil in a pan over low flame. 2. Add onion, cinnamon stick, black peppercorns, coriander seeds, cardamom pods, and coriander stems.
3. Cook for a few minutes or until everything turns dark brown.
4. In a bowl, combine chilli powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder, salt, MSG, soy sauce, vinegar, light soy sauce, and chopped garlic cloves.
5. Now, strain the infused oil and add it to the chilli paste mix. 6. Whisk everything until combined.
You can transfer the chilli oil to a clean jar. According to Bhavya, it’s best to store the jar in a cool, dry place.
