Chef Kunal Kapur shared an easy and delicious Dry Fruit Barfi recipe that you can make without any condensed milk, khoya, or milk powder.
¾ cup almonds ¾ cup cashews 1 litre Milk 1 cup sugar ¼ cup roasted sesame seeds ½ cup dry desiccated coconut ½ tsp black cardamom seeds Chopped pistachios Dried rose petals

1. Take almonds and cashews in a pan and add some water to it. 2. Give it a quick boil and then let it cook for 2-3 minutes till it softens. 3. Take them off the heat and wash them in cold water.
4. Take 750 ml milk in a pan and let it boil till it's reduced to half. 5. Keep stirring in between.
6. In the meantime, transfer the softened dry fruits to a blender and add 250 ml of milk to it. 7. Blend till you get a smooth consistency.
8. Now, add the sugar to boiling milk and stir for a few minutes. 9. Next, pour the dry fruit puree into the boiling milk and keep stirring.
10. Add isesame seeds and coconut. 11. Keep cooking till the mixture starts coming off the pan. 12. Take it off the heat.
13. Line up a tray with some parchment paper and pour in the barfi mixture in it. 14. Top it up with some cardamom seeds, chopped pistachios and dried rose petals, and let it cool down. 15. Cut it in the desired shape.
And that’s it! Your Dry Fruit Barfi, without any condensed milk, khoya or milk powder, is ready to be enjoyed!
