1. Delhi 

In 2014, an average of 24 lakh people travelled by Delhi Metro daily. Today, 60 lakh people travel by metro on an average daily.

2. Bangalore 

As of May 2024, Bengaluru Metro witnessed an average daily metro ridership of 6.8 lakh to 7.5 lakh.

3. Mumbai 

As of August 2024,  Mumbai's Metro Line   1 recorded a daily ridership of 5 lakh. Mumbai Metro Line 3 is touted to welcome 17 lakh passengers daily when it's operational.

One of the oldest metro lines in India, Kolkata Metro witnesses a daily ridership of 7 lakh passengers.
