Love Bengal's Famous Kasundi? Here's How You can Make The Mustard Sauce At Home

If you don't want to buy store-bought kasundi, we have a simple recipe for you. All you need are the ingredients and about 15 minutes to make it at home.

• Black mustard seeds • Yellow mustard seeds • Green chillies • Ginger • Salt • Sugar • Turmeric powder • Lemon juice • Mustard oil

• Soak mustard seeds in water for around 15 minutes. Take a shil nora (Indian grinding stone) and make a fine paste of mustard seeds.

• Next, make a paste of ginger, green chillies, salt, sugar, and turmeric powder.

• Then, mix both green chilli paste and mustard paste on the grinding stone. If you don't have the stone, use a mixer grinder.

• Transfer everything to a bowl, add lemon juice, and mix well using a spoon. For a strong aroma, you can add mustard oil too.

Step 4

The entire process takes only about 15 minutes and homemade kasundi is ready to be served as a delicious dipping sauce.
