1 tbsp of ghee 1 cup of onions (chopped) 1 cup of tomatoes (chopped) Salt as per taste 1 tsp of turmeric powder 1 tbsp of podi or gun powder Coriander as per taste Idli batter Banana leaves

First, add ghee to a pan and then saute the onions till they become transluscent.

Then, add the chopped tomatoes, salt, chilli powder and turmeric powder with little water and let it cook. Once it becomes a bit mushy, your filling is ready.

Add ghee on a banana leaf and add the freshly made tomato filling.

Cover the filling with ifli batter and top it with pudi or gunpowder.

Cover it with a lid and pour water in the base so it can cook in its own steam. In 5-6 minutes, your Banana Leaf Idli will be ready.
