The manufacturing renaissance is in progress in real time in India. As the manufacturing output in the world increased by a modest 0.7% in Q3 2025, India increased its manufacturing output by 1.3% in its own manufacturing output, which was fueled by domestic demand.

RF Nanocomposites is a defence and advanced materials manufacturing company that was founded in 2021 by Vishal Kumar Chakradhary and incubated by IIT Kanpur and IIT Patna. The startup focuses on radar absorber materials (RAMs) in drones, missiles, tanks, frigates, and aircraft and EMI shielding in defence, space, telecom, medical devices, EVs and consumer electronics.
It has eco-friendly and high-performance nanocomposite materials, which are designed to endure the strict standards of operations and regulations. As India has one of the largest EMI shielding markets, estimated to reach $700 million by 2024, and estimated to grow substantially by 2033, RF Nanocomposites is at the nexus of national security and the development of advanced materials.
Gascomp Fueltech
Gascomp Fueltech, founded in July 2020 by Darshan Soni, Rushirajsinh Jadeja and Avirat Majmudar, is pushing the clean mobility transition of India beyond EVs into CNG, Bio-CNG, LNG and hydrogen ecosystems. Under the Make in India program, the company produces compressors and dispensing systems such as hydraulic booster compressors of CNG and bio-CNG, CNG dispensers, and hydrogen-ready systems.
Gascomp operates out of a 30,000 sq ft plant in Vadodara with the capacity to manufacture more than 100 compressors in a year, with applications in city gas distribution networks and industrial uptake of clean fuels. As the market of gas compressors and clean fuel equipment is expected to expand to reach as high as $226.2million in 2033, compared to its current $166.7million in 2024, Gascomp can help India in its energy transition.
RRP Electronics
RRP Electronics is the first operational outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) plant to be located in Maharashtra, founded in 2024 by Rajendra Chodankar. The company enhances the India backend chip production capacity through the provision of ball grid array packaging of high pin-count chips, thermal management solutions, assembly and test services in telecom, automotive, EV, industrial, medical, and advanced computing applications.
RRP Electronics offers semiconductor self-reliance through a capital-effective route by specializing in backend semiconductor manufacturing. As the market size of the global OSAT is projected to increase from $1.7 billion in the year 2025 to $3 billion in the year 2032, RRP Electronics has a better position with the Semiconductor Mission 2.0 in India.
Invariance Automation
Invariance Automation, an electronic assembly and PCB manufacturing company, was founded by Arunava Karmakar and Chintu Gurbani in 2020. The company operates on the basis of Technopark@IIT Kanpur and is registered within the programs of Startup India and MSME. The company offers fabrication and assembly services to engineers, startups, and OEMs.
Its products are single-sided, double-sided, and multi-layer PCBs, flexible PCBs in compact and wearable devices, and automated optical PCB inspection. With the increasing speed of electronics localization under the PLI schemes, Invariance Automation will be essential in the minimization of the importation of core hardware components. As the global PCB industry is expected to expand its market to reach $7.26 billion in 2025 and approximately $25.48 billion in 2034, the company stands to enjoy immense opportunities.
ANFT
Founded by Angshuman Roy, Advanced Nano Fabrication Technologies (ANFT) is developing state-of-the-art lithography and mask writing technologies. ANFT is based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and it operates in the semiconductor capital equipment and lithography technology.
Its technology stack has an Integrated Emission and Optics Array (IEEA) Writing Module, monolithic integration of field emission arrays with projection lens arrays, 180 nA beam capability, sub-10 nm resolution output, and high efficiency whereby beam interaction is minimized. The innovations will address the physical and performance constraints of the traditional lithography systems.
As India’s semiconductor manufacturing equipment market is set to hit $4.9 billion by 2032, ANFT is carving out a niche in high-technology fabrication and capital equipment technology.
