The Downsizing
Before this, he had already sold his Westchester estate in 2019 for $7.66 million. He purchased that property with his wife, Emma Heming, in 2014 for $12 million. This means the Willis family incurred a loss of approximately $4.34 million on the sale of their 9,000-square-foot home, which features five bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms, set on a 13.56-acre lot.
Bruce Willis has downgrading his estate to transition into a smaller living situation.
In 2018, he sold his 6,000-square-foot duplex on Central Park West for $17.75 million, opting to downsize to a smaller apartment in New York City. That same year, he sold a mountain house in Sun Valley, Idaho, which he had purchased for $15 million, for only $5.5 million.
In 2019, Bruce and his wife, Emma Heming, sold their estate in Westchester, New York. The 9,000-square-foot home, situated on 13.56 acres, featured five bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms. They sold it for $7.66 million, incurring a loss of $4.34 million after buying it for $12 million in 2014.
Additionally, they sold their expansive beachfront property in Turks and Caicos for $27 million, a 13,500-square-foot compound included a five-bedroom main house, a yoga pavilion, a large pool, and two guest casitas, each with three bedrooms.
The property was initially listed for $33 million and was part of Willis’ plan to consolidate his holdings.
In 2021, he sold a plot of land on Parrot Cay, also in Turks and Caicos, for $6 million.
This all amounted to about $65 million.
Recent reports from the Los Angeles Times indicate that Willis is currently being cared for by Emma and his ex-wife, Demi Moore. He is in “stable” condition; however, there is no cure for his condition. Sufferers like him face an increased risk of falls, infections, and diseases such as pneumonia, which can be fatal, according to Johns Hopkins Medicine.
Emma is currently writing a book about her experience to bring awareness to FTD.
