The content available on Netflix includes licensed properties, exclusives, and sometimes a mix of the two. Now a television series that was previously canceled has surprisingly become a hit show after being made available to stream on Netflix.
Surprisingly, it’s been three years since this particular series ended for the final time. Initially, it only received two seasons by NBC before they decided to cancel the show. It was then revived by Peacock for an additional two seasons. After being canceled again, however, that only left fans with four seasons in 2021.
Now it seems to once again finding success with streaming. The canceled series actually recently made it to the number seven spot in the Netflix Top 10 category in the United States. This is certainly an impressive number for the show, especially three years since it was last canceled.
Unfortunately, for fans hoping that the series might be renewed again, it doesn’t seem likely. The show, titled A.P. Bio, starred Glenn Howerton of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia fame. With such a successful acting career, it’s unlikely that his schedule could fit a new season of A.P. Bio at this time.
Fortunately, the series still managed to go two seasons longer via Peacock than fans initially thought possible when it was canceled the first time. As such, it’s worth enjoying the seasons we did get, even if it’s unlikely a fifth season will ever get off the ground. And, on the bright side, it shows that A.P. Bio still has the potential to be a hit with viewers to still be performing so well.
