As the 2025 Formula 1 Season kicked off with an exciting race in Australia this past weekend, it seems as though Lewis Hamilton is gaining traction in his new role with Scuderia Ferrari HP with teammate Charles Leclerc. But before competing in his first qualifying round, bearing the iconic Italian shield, Lewis had to fulfill one more Ferrari dream to really start the season in style. Recently posted on his Instagram just ahead of the inaugural F1 weekend at the Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit, the seven-time World Champion celebrated his first season at Ferrari with a recreation of the movie classic ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.’
Using some movie magic, Dawn Apollo Films and Large Eyes recreated one of the most iconic scenes in the 1986 film to feature Lewis Hamilton alongside Matthew Broderick (Ferris Bueller), Alan Ruck (Cameron Frye), and Mia Sara (Sloane Peterson). The clip relives the moment when the three teenagers decide to leave Cameron’s father’s prized possession, a Rosso Corsa Ferrari 250 GT Spider, in the hands of a parking garage valet while they explore the city during a ditch day from school.
The scene seamlessly blends Lewis into the movie as if he was there on the day of shooting almost 40 years ago, even catching his iconic goodbye wave before putting the 250 GT Spider through its paces on city streets. Actor Edward Norton even joined in on the fun as he played the passenger in Lewis Hamilton’s dream drive inside one of the most recognized cars in movie history.
