Sean ‘P Diddy’ Combs will have to remain behind bars even longer as he’s currently being accused of violating ‘multiple rules’ at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institute
Sean “P. Diddy” Combs now has to wait even longer before he’s released from prison.
Initially, the disgraced music mogul was expected to complete his prison sentence at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institute in New Jersey on May 8, 2028, but that date has now been extended to June 4, 2028. Specifically, why Diddy, 56, has to remain behind bars longer is unclear. However, it seems to coincide with the Bad Boy Records label founder being accused of violating multiple prison rules.
The Mirror U.S. has reached out to Diddy’s team about the reason behind the rapper having to stay longer in prison after he was convicted of two counts of transportation for prostitution, sentenced to a little over 4 years in prison last month, and then allegedly violated prison rules while serving his time.

TMZ previously reported that Diddy was “trouble with prison officials” for allegedly consuming “homemade alcohol” during his prison stay.
Diddy’s spokesperson informed Page Six last week that the Grammy-winning New York-bred rhymer was “in his first week at FCI Fort Dix [after being transferred from Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center] and … focused on adjusting, working on himself and doing better each day.”
The rep further admitted to the news outlet: “As with any high-profile individual in a new environment, there will be many rumors and exaggerated stories throughout his time there — most of them untrue. We ask that people give him the benefit of the doubt, the privacy to focus on his personal growth.”
CBS claimed that Diddy reportedly made a three-person call recently, which goes against the rules of the Bureau of Prisons (BOP). Guidelines of the BOP prohibit inmates from adding multiple people to calls in case they’re being used to coordinate illegal activity.
Diddy allegedly was speaking to an unknown woman earlier this month on November 3, discussing visitation for that weekend. The woman then allegedly added an unknown man to the call.
Documents obtained by CBS claimed that the father-of-seven wasn’t informed about the regulations, and that the woman on the line was his lawyer, and that the man included on the call handled his PR.
The trio were allegedly discussing drafting a statement to be sent to the New York Times after Diddy approved it. Diddy allegedly didn’t include a reason why he was issuing a statement to the Times.
Prison officials recommended for Diddy to lose 90 days of phone privileges along with 90 days of commissary privileges, but it’s unclear what the entertainer’s official punishment was.
