Whitney was due to attend the annual pre-Grammy Awards party on the day she tragically passed away. The event was organised by her long-time mentor, Clive Davis.
On the fateful day, she had complained of a sore throat and decided to take a bath before heading to Clive Davis’ pre-Grammys bash. However, when her assistant returned from errands at 3:35pm, she found the star’s lifeless body submerged in approximately 13 inches of scorching hot water.
Six hours post her death, the water temperature was still recorded at 33°C. Insiders suggested that it could have been as high as 66°C at the time of her death, as indicated by large areas of skin burned off her back.
A needle mark was found on her inner left elbow, along with scars from breast implants and “the outlines of bilateral breast prosthesis.”
The mother-of-one also had a wig sewn onto her natural hair. Despite her eyebrows being described as ‘sparse’, beneath the tightly attached headpiece, Whitney surprisingly had a full head of black, wavy hair with ‘no balding’.
