Funding Overview and Future Expansion Plans
Aivar, an AI services startup based in Bengaluru, has successfully secured $4.6 million (approximately INR 41.3 crore) in a seed funding round led by Sorin Investments, with additional backing from Bessemer Venture Partners. This funding is a significant milestone in Aivar’s journey as it gears up to broaden its operations in international markets.
The startup intends to utilise this new capital to enhance its footprint in India, the United States, and the Middle East. A considerable portion of the funds will be directed towards recruiting senior leadership and specialised AI professionals, which will empower the company to bolster its delivery capabilities and facilitate large-scale enterprise deployments.
Founded by Former AWS Executives
Established in 2024, Aivar was co-founded by a group of former AWS leaders—Kousik Rajendran, Praveen Jayakumar, Ashwin Ram Ravichandran, and Aadharsh Ayappan. The founders possess extensive expertise in cloud infrastructure, AI systems, and enterprise technology, which has significantly influenced Aivar’s strategy in developing practical and scalable AI solutions.
Aivar positions itself as a contemporary alternative to traditional IT service firms, many of which are still in the process of transitioning to AI-first delivery models.
Comprehensive AI Services Approach
Aivar functions as a full-stack AI services provider, assisting enterprises in designing, deploying, and managing advanced AI, generative AI, data analytics, and cloud-native
solutions. Unlike service providers that concentrate solely on development or consultancy, Aivar supports its clients throughout the entire AI lifecycle—from strategy and architecture to implementation and ongoing operations.\
The company recognises that today’s enterprises desire AI to be deeply integrated into their business workflows rather than confined to limited pilot projects, and its offerings are tailored to meet this evolving demand.
Development of Reusable AI Platforms and Tools
A portion of the funding will be allocated to enhancing Aivar’s technology stack by creating reusable AI components and in-house platforms. These innovations will include tools for voice-based AI systems, workflow automation, and AI infrastructure management.
By focusing on modular and reusable AI assets, Aivar aims to shorten deployment timelines and enhance scalability, enabling enterprises to implement AI solutions more swiftly and efficiently.
Expanding Customer Base and Market Presence
Despite being a relatively new player in the market, Aivar reports that it is already collaborating with over 80 customers across various sectors. This early success underscores a robust demand for AI-native service providers that can deliver flexibility, speed, and tangible business outcomes.
The company’s growth mirrors a broader trend where enterprises are moving beyond mere experimentation and are actively embedding AI into their core systems.
Increasing Investor Interest in AI Services
This funding round arrives at a time of heightened investor enthusiasm for AI-first service startups. Recently, Coreops.ai secured $3.5 million to enhance its engineering capabilities, while B2B agentic AI startup Lyzr raised $8 million in Series A funding to develop voice-agent solutions.
India’s generative AI ecosystem is rapidly evolving and is anticipated to become a $17 billion opportunity by 2030. From 2022 to Q3 2025, AI-native startups in India have raised over $1.6 billion, highlighting the sector’s strong momentum.
With this funding, Aivar is well-equipped to scale its operations globally and make a significant contribution to India’s burgeoning AI services landscape.
