PEOPLE is reporting that General Mills is collaborating with Totino’s on a strange product that just could work: pizza-flavored cereal. The limited-edition breakfast snack will combine the savory flavor of Totino’s Pizza Rolls with the sweetness and cereal shape of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, resulting in a “match made in mashup heaven” packed with “bold flavors.”
To provide fans with the “ultimate experience,” the special flavor will be supplied in pizza delivery box-inspired packaging.
Starting Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 7 p.m. EST, 1,000 fans can enter a sweepstakes to win the limited-edition taste for free on Cinnamon Toast Crunch’s online store.
This promotion has been released just in time for the Super Bowl, which is set to take place on Sunday, Feb. 9.
Walmart Now Carries a Strawberry-Flavored Cinnamon Toast Crunch
For fans who prefer a sweeter cereal, Walmart now offers a limited-edition strawberry-flavored Cinnamon Toast Crunch. The new flavor features the brand’s bite-sized, crunchy squares, but they now taste like strawberries.
According to Allrecipes, Walmart is expected to be the only retailer carrying family-sized boxes this month.
If it is not yet available near you, try the Great Value Strawberry Shortcake Cereal, which has received positive feedback and can serve as a fine substitute until you can get your hands on a box of General Mills’ version.
The drop was recently shared on Instagram by food insider @Cereallife. Fans responded to the message with a variety of perspectives.
