LOS ANGELES, California — Eric McCormack, best known for his role as Will Truman on the sitcom “Will & Grace,” has officially finalized his divorce from Janet Leigh Holden, after 26 years of marriage, according to court documents obtained by People.
The couple, who first met on the set of “Lonesome Dove” in 1994, settled the dissolution of their marriage outside of court, People added.
According to the magazine, McCormack, 62, filed for an uncontested divorce on November 5, indicating that both parties had reached a written agreement. The filing also noted that the pair waived their rights to a trial, appeal, or motion for a new trial.
TMZ and People said Holden initially filed for divorce in November 2023, citing irreconcilable differences. She requested spousal support and asked the court to terminate McCormack’s eligibility to receive any. The final agreement reportedly includes terms on property division and support, though specific details remain sealed.
McCormack and Holden’s romance started discreetly, with the couple keeping their relationship under wraps during the “Lonesome Dove’s” first season to avoid professional complications.
