GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – A University of Florida Gators fan fell from the top of a traffic light pole on West University Avenue as crowds filled the roadway celebrating the team’s win on Monday night.

The video of the daring stunt shows a fan climbing on top of the pole at University Avenue and Buckman Drive/17th Street.
After bouncing up and down on the pole, he attempts to stand and falls below as a crowd watches.
A fan who watched the stunt said the daredevil seemed OK after the fall. Fire rescue officials say the man’s injuries weren’t life-threatening.
Gainesville Public Works employees greased poles ahead of the game on Monday to deter fans from climbing the poles.
