Heartbreaking news for those wanting Halle Berry to reprise her Storm role in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday.
Berry was notably missing from the cast announcement of the upcoming Marvel film that would see some of her X-Men co-stars become mutants on the big screen again.
Although the studio hinted that more actors would be confirmed for the film, don’t expect Berry’s name to appear on one of the chairs, as she has completely shut down that idea..
“Keep waiting. It’s not going to be there,” Berry told Black Girl Nerds about her name being on a chair. “It’s not going to be there.”
Berry originated the role of Storm in the live-action adaptation of X-Men, which was released in 2000. She reprised the role in 2003’s X2 and 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand. Berry last played Storm in 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Stewart and Grammer have been the only actors to reprise their roles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Charles Xavier, played by Stewart, appeared in 2022’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Beast (played by Grammer) appeared in a mid-credits scene of 2023’s The Marvels.
