Trump’s vice president has revealed how the President interrupted an ‘important’ discussion in the Oval Office to speculate about the sizes of his cabinet’s todgers
President Trump’s crude banter is in the spotlight after his Vice President, JD Vance, shared a racy “behind-the-scenes moment” on a podcast by a top conservative commentator where he explained what it’s like to work with the President.
Vance had his audience in stitches with a tale of how Trump interrupted a discussion in the Oval Office over “something really important” to give his team an unexpected gift.
But the present came with a sting for one of the politicians, whom Trump implied had a small todger. Vance declined to ask his wife, standing next to him, to confirm whether Trump’s trouser package calculations are based on fact.
“People often ask me what it’s like to be the Vice President of the United States,” Vance told the Benny Show, hosted by right-wing journo Benny Johnson.
“And a lot of it is exactly as you would expect it to look like if you watched on TV or just paid attention to the media. But sometimes you get these behind-the-scenes moments that I will never, ever forget for the rest of my life.”
The Vice President then shared an incident from the Oval Office, where Trump held up a serious discussion with a random act of generosity, followed by a bawdy joke.
“So, for example, I’m in the Oval Office with the President and Marco Rubio, and we’re talking about something really important,” said Vance.
“The President kind of holds up his hand and says, ‘No, no, no, hold on a second. There’s something much more important. Shoes.’ He peers over the resolute desk and he says, ‘Marco, JD, you guys have s****y shoes.’
“He goes out and grabs a catalogue. There happens to be another politician in the room I won’t say who, and you’ll find out why in a second. And he actually runs us through this incredible shoe catalogue. The President is gifting us with four pairs of shoes.”
But the gift turned sour for one of the cabinet after Trump started checking shoe sizes to get his team footwear that fits.
“He says, ‘Marco, what’s your shoe size?’ And Marco’s apparently an eleven and a half. He says, ‘JD, what’s your shoe size?’ My shoe size is 13.
“And he asks this politician, who I won’t embarrass, what his shoe size is, and he says, seven. The President, he kind of leans back in his chair and says, ‘You know you can tell a lot about a man by his shoe size.’ ”
