In addition to the Verdict Lounge, the upcoming season of Fox’s “Kitchen Nightmares,” starring celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, will be filming at three other New Orleans restaurants.
The city of New Orleans has approved filming permits at Iberville Cuisine, Kindred and Blake’s Place, allowing all of the local restaurants to participate in the makeover-style show.
Iberville Cuisine, located at 821 Iberville St. in the French Quarter, opened in April 2023 serving Creole and Cajun seafood dishes. Currently, it has a 4.7 rating on Google reviews and a 3.6 rating on Yelp.
New Orleans officials approved filming at the restaurant from Saturday to Thursday.
The city also approved filming at Uptown spot Kindred, located at 7537 Maple St., but has yet to issue the permit. Kindred, an all-vegan restaurant with a rating of 4.5 on Google reviews and a 4.2 on Yelp, opened in January 2020, right before the height of the pandemic.
According to Kindred’s filming request, the shooting dates will be from Sept. 21 to Sept. 26.
Blake’s Place, located at 724 Dublin St., is New Orleans native chef Blake Cressey’s restaurant. Cressey opened the restaurant in the fall of 2023, months after she appeared on Food Network’s “Chopped.”
Blake’s Place serves dishes ranging from pasta to classic New Orleans dishes, including chicken parmesan, shrimp burgers and gumbo. It has a 4.3 rating on Google reviews and a 3.4 on Yelp. The city issued a permit for filming at the restaurant from Sept. 27 to Oct. 2.
Multiple flyers seeking restaurant diners to participate in filming for a “restaurant renovation show” have circulated across social media, though details listed on the ads have been scarce.
A flyer for a Westwego location has also been circulating with the same email and information as other locations’ flyers.
Westwego officials did not immediately confirm that the show was being filmed in the city.
