The Glendale home is described as a ‘Zen retreat’
Rocker Marilyn Manson appears ready for a fresh start after dropping a lawsuit against his former fiancée, Evan Rachel Wood-listing a Glendale, Calif., property he purchased amid their ongoing legal battle for $2.75 million.
The 56-year-old musician purchased the charming four-bedroom, three-bathroom dwelling for $2.2 million via an LLC in May 2022, two months after launching a defamation lawsuit against his former partner over sexual abuse allegations she made against him.
At the time, a lawyer for Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, described “Westworld” star Wood’s claims as a “malicious falsehood,” claiming that the 37-year-old actress had perpetrated an “organized attack” on his client in the months after she publicly accused him of abuse.
“This detailed complaint has been filed to stop a campaign of malicious and unjustified attacks on Brian Warner,” Manson’s attorney, Howard King, told Billboard at the time.
However, in late November 2024, Manson dropped his lawsuit against Wood and agreed to pay her $327,000 in legal fees.
“Marilyn Manson-whose real name is Brian Warner-filed a lawsuit against Ms. Wood as a publicity stunt to try to undermine the credibility of his many accusers and revive his faltering career,” a spokesperson for the actress told Rolling Stone at the time.
“But his attempt to silence and intimidate Ms. Wood failed. As the trial court correctly found, Warner’s claims were meritless. Warner’s decision to finally abandon his lawsuit and pay Ms. Wood her full fee award of almost $327,000 only confirms as much.”
However, Manson’s attorney insisted that the rocker had dropped the lawsuit in order to end “this chapter of his life,” telling the outlet: “After four years of fighting a battle where he was able to tell the truth, Brian is pleased to dismiss his still-pending claims and appeal in order to close the door on this chapter of his life.”

Now, it seems he is ready to move on from that chapter once and for all-walking away from the home he purchased during the height of the scandal, during which he was accused of assault, abuse, and rape by multiple women, including “Game of Thrones” star Esme Bianco, who later reached a settlement with the rocker.
He has repeatedly denied all of the claims against him, insisting that he never engaged in any non-consensual sexual acts, according to the Associated Press.
Manson purchased his Glendale dwelling less than a year after putting his former Los Angeles home on the market for $1.75 million, having paid $1.08 million for it back in 2013.
Should he find a buyer willing to pay the full asking price for his current abode, the musician will only walk away with a profit of $55,000.

It may be that Manson has decided he no longer needs the property, which is described in its listing as a “Zen retreat,” particularly given that he is about to embark on a busy summer of performances as part of his North American Spring Tour, according to his website.
The tour is due to kick off on May 2 in Grand Rapids, Mich., and will see the rocker traveling to various locations across the country until October, with his final performance scheduled to take place at the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, Calif.

According to the listing description for his midcentury modern abode, it was originally built in 1964 but has since undergone a “meticulous” restoration in order to outfit the property with several more up-to-date amenities.
Those include a chef’s kitchen with Viking appliances and a top-of-the-line soundproofed recording studio, which is located in a separate ADU. The listing notes that the structure could be turned into an office, a gym, or an additional bedroom, though.
Thanks to its hillside location, the property boasts beautiful views across the mountains as well as a stunning vista of the Los Angeles city skyline, while a wraparound redwood deck provides the perfect place to relax.
