The Batman character was created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger, and debuted in the comic book Detective Comics in 1939. The Robin character was created to serve as a junior counterpart and the sidekick to Batman. The pair first appeared together in Detective Comics in 1940. As a team, Batman and Robin have commonly been referred to as the Caped Crusaders and the Dynamic Duo. The pair here is depicted on an acrylic face panel, scaling the exterior of an imaginary building, suspended above a stylized Batmobile.

Blue, yellow, red, pink, green, and white neon 120-volt fixtures accent the sign, which measures approximately 72″ tall by 48″ wide and 6″ deep. The power cord has an inline switch and a two-prong wall plug.

The sign is mounted to a metal frame structure finished in black with integrated mounting holes for hanging from the top and stands for a freestanding display.
