The USA Curling National Championships wrapped up Sunday in Duluth — with Minnesota well-represented on teams in both the women’s and men’s finals.
A number of curlers who competed in the tournament have ties to Minnesota, and many train in Minnesota clubs throughout the season.
In the women’s finals, Team Peterson — led by Tabitha Peterson of Minneapolis — took home the title over Team Cousins with a score of 7-6 in 11 ends.
In the men’s finals, Team Dropkin, led by Korey Dropkin of Duluth, took home first place over Team Casper, led by Danny Casper of Minneapolis, by a score of 8-6 in 11 ends. Team Shuster, which won gold in the 2018 Winter Olympics, lost to Dropkin in the semifinals and finished third.
