Get ready to add one more title to your festive watchlist as action-packed Christmas flick Red One is now available to stream on Prime Video.
Boasting a star-studded cast — think JK Simmons as a jacked Santa Claus and Kiernan Shipka as Icelandic winter witch Grýla — the movie hinges on Santa being kidnapped right before Christmas.
Dwayne Johnson plays Callum Drift, who works as head of security for the big man and has to team up with hacker and Santa skeptic Jack O’Malley (Chris Evans) to find Santa and save Christmas.
If that sounds like something you want to see, then Red One is now available to watch on Prime Video for all subscribers at no extra cost.

Written by Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw scribe and producer Chris Morgan and directed by Jumanji‘s Jake Kasdan, Red One collates a series of beloved festive tropes in a confusing caper that leaves a lot to be desired.
The ensemble does their best with what they’ve been given, with the movie working as cheery ambient TV that’s not especially memorable nor original.

In Digital Spy‘s two-star review, Red One has been described as an acceptable post-Christmas dinner watch, but don’t beat yourself up if you doze off for a couple of minutes here and there.
“Perhaps if Red One does arrive on Prime Video in time for Christmas, then it’s maybe best viewed post-Christmas dinner when you’re a bit sleepy and all you need is something to fill the time before Doctor Who and Gavin & Stacey,” the review reads.
Red One is available to watch now on Prime Video.
