In Dnipro, a Russian attack drone struck a nine-storey residential building, destroying flats between the 4th and 6th floors and igniting a fire. Rescuers retrieved a woman’s body from a flat on the 5th floor, and 28 people, including five children, were rescued from the rubble. Ten people, among them two children, sought medical aid, and six were hospitalised (including one child). Emergency services set up three “points of invincibility” for heating and rest.
In Kyiv’s Pecherskyi district, debris from a downed drone fell into the courtyard of a residential building, and subsequent fires were extinguished by firefighters.
At about 1 a.m., the city’s energy providers initiated emergency power shutdowns across Kyiv and several oblasts including Kyiv, Cherkasy and Kirovohrad; similar measures were reported in Sumy and Kharkiv regions, implemented “to avoid overloading the power grid due to the shelling”.
The country’s Energy Ministry confirmed that the energy sector was among the main targets.
