Mikey Madison is this weekend’s host of Saturday Night Live, and fortunately for her, one Anora sketch is definitely off the table.
In the newest promo for this weekend’s show, Madison is sitting in Sarah Sherman‘s dressing room when she discovers an, ahem, rather eclectic menorah on display.
“Oh, the Anora menorah. We used it in a sketch that got cut,” says Sherman.
“Did people think it was funny?” the Oscar winner asks.
Cut to the “failed” sketch, when Sherman first reveals the menorah that is glued on top of a bikini-clad Madison doll. Suffice to say it didn’t go over well with the other cast members.
But Sherman didn’t admit that to Madison. “Yeah it killed definitely, people were laughing,” she said. “Which reminds me, I wanted to pitch you the Anora fedora.”
Madison won the Oscar for Best Actress in a Leading Role last month for Anora. She’s making her SNL hosting debut, while this the second appearance by Morgan Wallen as musical guest. The country singer previously featured in December 2020, two months after he was dropped from an episode after failing to take Covid precautions on a night out.
