Tech billionaire and Department of Government Efficiency head Elon Musk appeared to agree with a post on his social platform X Thursday about his candidate’s defeat in the Wisconsin state Supreme Court election saying there was “overwhelming” proof that the election was “stolen.”
Brad Schimel, a conservative judge who had President Donald Trump’s endorsement and received $21 million in support from Musk and his organizations, suffered a significant defeat to a liberal judge backed by the Democratic Party in a state that Trump had previously won in November.
Musk reacted to a post featuring Alex Jones, the controversial Infowars founder, interviewing Roger Stone, a prominent advocate of election denialism for the MAGA movement. Stone suggested that the results of the Wisconsin election did not add up.

Musk responded to the post with the comment, “Hmm.”
Earlier on Wednesday, the White House advisor had asserted that the key outcome from Tuesday’s election in Wisconsin was a ballot initiative that would solidify a voter ID law in the state constitution, despite the fact that voters in the state were already required to present identification.
The billionaire said he had “expected to lose,” in response to a user on X thanking him for his involvement.
“Elon knew that it was a long shot to win the Wisconsin Supreme Court race,” the user wrote. “He knew his involvement in the race would bring more violence against his companies but he fully committed his money and time anyway. Thanks Elon. We have amazing warriors on our side. Keep fighting.”

Musk responded:“I expected to lose, but there is value to losing a piece for a positional gain.”
At Schimel’s watch party Tuesday, several supporters praised him for his “graceful” reaction to his defeat.
Addressing her supporters in Madison following the victory, liberal Judge Susan Crawford thanked voters for helping her win the Wisconsin Supreme Court race, saying they thwarted an attack on democracy.
“Today, Wisconsinites fended off an unprecedented attack on our democracy, our fair elections and our Supreme Court. And Wisconsinites stood up and said loudly that justice does not have a price — our courts are not for sale,” Crawford said.
