Peacock has set January 9 for the Season 3 premiere of Alan Cumming-hosted reality competition series The Traitors. Cumming himself revealed the news this morning on Today.
The Traitors is a competition series where contestants, known as the faithful, work together on missions to win a prize of up to $250,000 while trying to uncover the secret players working against them to try and banish them from the game.
The third season will feature 21 celebrities, at least three of whom will be selected by Cumming to be a Traitor, while the rest will be Faithfuls. Fans will find out the identity of the “Traitors” in the season premiere.
The Traitors Season 2 became the No. 1 unscripted series in the U.S. across all streaming platforms during launch week, according to Nielsen. Season 1 took home the Emmy Award for Outstanding Casting for a Reality Program.
Season 3 will continue with the formula casting all reality stars and celebrities, including Bob Harper from The Biggest Loser, Bob the Drag Queen from RuPaul’s Drag Race, Chanel Ayan from The Real Housewives of Dubai, Chrishell Stause from Selling Sunset, Dorinda Medley from The Real Housewives of New York City, Gabby Windey from The Bachelorette and Tom Sandoval from Vanderpump Rules, among many more.
The Traitors is produced by Studio Lambert with Stephen Lambert, Mike Cotton, Sam Rees-Jones, Rosie Franks, Jack Burgess and Tim Harcourt serving as executive producers.
