A congresswoman accused Donald Trump of taking Alzheimer’s medication, despite his doctors saying he is in perfect health.
A congresswoman claimed that Donald Trump’s tiredness and bruised hand are due to the president taking Alzheimer’s medication, but his doctors say otherwise.
California Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove shared photos of Trump, 79, sleeping during a Cabinet meeting and his bruises in an X post on Thursday, speculating that he could be taking Leqembi, a drug used to treat early Alzheimer’s.
“The Alzheimer’s drug Leqembi: Is administered through an infusion (for example, through the hand), can cause swelling, bleeding, or fluid leakage in the brain, requiring regular MRIs, can cause tiredness.” She ended her tweet with, “Curious.” It comes as Trump makes a huge blunder while receiving his World Cup award in a ‘cringe’ moment.

Several people mocked the president in response to Kamlager-Dove’s tweet, with one person writing, “Oh look, it’s President Sleepy.” Others called on Republicans to ask Trump to release his medical records.
“He’s the healthiest person ever, right?” wrote one person. “Shouldn’t be a problem.”

However, others accused Kamlager-Dove of being a hypocrite for not criticising former President Joe Biden. “Cool, now do Joe Biden,” wrote one person.
“Oh, good grief! Could you possibly speculate anymore?” wrote another person. “The guy shakes hands ALL day. We’ve already established the bruise.”
‘Perfectly normal’
Trump’s White House physician, Captain Sean Barbabella, wrote on Monday that the president “remains in perfect overall health” after undergoing a “comprehensive executive physical.”
In a memo, Barbabella said that advanced imaging of Trump’s heart and abdomen had come back “perfectly normal.” The day before, Trump said he had an MRI scan, but had “no idea” which part of his body was being looked at.
“I have no idea. It was just an MRI – what part of the body?” Trump told a reporter on Air Force One on Sunday. “It wasn’t the brain, because I took a cognitive test and I aced it.”
Barbabella wrote that Trump was checked during a physical in October “because men in his age group benefit from thorough evaluation of cardiovascular and abdominal health.” He added that there was no evidence of arterial narrowing that would impair blood flow or abnormalities in the president’s heart or major vessels.
The doctor added that Trump’s cardiovascular system “shows excellent health” overall. Similarly, Barbabella said Trump’s abdominal imaging showed that “everything evaluated is functioning within normal limits with no acute or chronic concerns.”
Barbabella called the scan “standard” for an “executive physical” for someone at Trump’s age. In his memo, Barbabella said the purpose of the MRI was preventative “to identify issues early, confirm overall health, and ensure he maintains long-term vitality and function.”
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt read the memo during a news briefing on Monday. “I think that’s quite a bit of detail in the effort of transparency,” Leavitt said. “The president promised it last night, and we have it delivered today.”
However, two physicians who reviewed the memo told the BBC that MRIs were “not typically standard” for preventive care. But some people do opt for testing, which isn’t part of the standard age-based guidelines, said Dr. Carla Perissinotto, a geriatrics specialist at the University of California, San Francisco.
Throughout his second term, Trump has been seen with swollen ankles and bruising on his right hand. He was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency in July. The condition can result in swelling in the legs.
It comes as Donald Trump teases a ridiculous new name for the Kennedy Center.
