The Bedford-based digital growth agency crdone has been shortlisted for two awards at the SME Bedfordshire Business Awards 2026, receiving recognition in both the Business of the Year (Less Than 50 Employees) and High Growth Business of the Year categories.
The shortlisting is the result of a notably successful year for the agency, one defined by meaningful growth and a dedicated effort to ensure clients can see the real-world impact of their marketing investment.
Founded by Carl Darnell, crdone has made its name by concentrating on marketing effectiveness rather than volume. The agency takes a hands-on approach with each client, constructing well-defined strategies, testing performance on a regular basis, and ensuring that budgets are directed where they will deliver the most significant results.
Reaching the finals in two categories underlines the progress crdone has made as a business and the effectiveness of the approach it brings to its work. Across the past year, the agency has refined how it supports clients through digital growth, with honesty, realistic goal-setting, and a culture of continuous improvement at the heart of everything it does.
The SME Bedfordshire Business Awards are organised by the Bedfordshire Chamber of Commerce to celebrate businesses that have demonstrated strong commercial performance, sustainable growth, and a valuable role within the local economy. Finalists are chosen on the basis of verifiable results from the past year.
Reaching the final shortlist positions crdone amongst a select group of regional businesses being celebrated for the results they have produced and the impact they have had in Bedfordshire.
Carl Darnell, Founder of crdone, said: “It’s been a strong year for us, but more importantly for our clients. We’ve focused on delivering better outcomes, not just more activity, and that’s what has driven our growth. We test. We measure. We learn. We adapt. Being recognised in both categories is a great result for the team.”
The ceremony at which winners will be announced is scheduled for Thursday, 18 June 2026 at The Marquee Bedford, bringing together companies from across the county for an evening dedicated to recognising outstanding business achievement.
